We are global players and belong to the market leaders in many of our business fields. Not only the market situation and the requisitions of our clients prevent us from resting on our laurels after our hitherto achievements, but the standards which we impose on ourselves. Large contracts in the semiconductor industry
In 2003 M+W Zander was commissioned with the construction of the new semiconductor plant for AMD in Dresden. The general contractor assignment had a contract volume of 380 million euro, and thereby constituted the largest contract in the company’s history - until end of 2005 when M+W Zander received the order to build a semiconductor plant with a contract volume of 700 million euro. Double record: largest cleanroom project completed in the shortest time
Imagine a combined area of 16 football pitches – and all that space subjected to clean room specifications, and then you at least have some idea of the significance of this project. Within 12 months we had constructed 133,000 sq.m. of clean room space for our client AU Optronics in Taichung (Taiwan), producers of the most up-to-date flat screens. Here you can find out more …
Tropical dreams - in the middle of Stuttgart
Regardless of what the weather is doing outside; whether there is snow, rain or midsummer warmth, the prevailing climate in the Amazon house of Stuttgart’s zoological gardens, the Wilhelma, is one which you would otherwise only experience in the tropical rain forest. There are enormous demands upon the air-conditioning systems, ultimately, the issue here is also about guaranteeing animals and plants their characteristic living conditions.
