In order to secure the decisive head start for our clients, our product developers work worldwide in close collaboration with universities, research institutes and manufacturers of production equipment. We participate in international research projects and advisory committees for standardization. In this way we are in the front line for acquainting ourselves with new developments and advanced technologies and are thus able to implement our knowledge to the benefit of our clients at an early stage.
Moreover, M+W Zander operates an innovation and application center at its Stuttgart headquarters. It is here that we test, develop and optimize products, technologies and processes for our clients. Teams comprising scientists, engineers and technicians work here in interdisciplinary collaboration on the development of new and better solutions
The M+W Zander Innovation and Application Cente
The Innovation and Application Center (IAC) is M+W Zander’s technological center at its Stuttgart headquarters.
In an area of 3000 sq.m., components and systems for clean room technology, ventilation and air-condition technology are developed and tested. For more than 20 years, the IAC has been the pacemaker of M+W Zander’s technological developments.
Elaborate equipment and installations complying with the very latest technological standards facilitate the implementation of all test- and qualification procedures in-house. Here we test products and designs, develop perfected systems solutions and new products for our clients.
The IAC commands extensive measurement technology testing facilities:
- Chemical laboratory
- Test clean rooms for microelectronics and pharmaceutical applications
- Echoic chamber
- Test setups for HVAC system component performance tests
- Filter test stand for the assessment of suspended filters
- Pilot facilities and test stands for exhaust removal
- Metrology test chambers for testing the quality of precision air conditioners
With our IAC we undertake qualification, verification and certification work, in particular for the electronic, pharmaceutical/biotechnical, and food production industries.
