M+W Zander is no island, we are an element of the society in which we live, work and aspire to be successful in business. We see ourselves in the tradition of successful market economy, which is committed to the maintenance of ethic principles, fairness and social engagement. We happily take on this commitment.
Through our business activities in the high-tech sphere, in power supply and in heating- and air condition technologies, we are directly confronted by ecological questions. In this issue we are conscious of a particular responsibility for our work, our clients solutions and our attitude – our company headquarters in Stuttgart is exemplary. The company’s principles concerning environment, health and occupational safety, are an integral part of our total quality management in business enterprises.
In cultural and social aspects we support numerous and large and small projects, e.g. through club sponsorships at our various locations, or aid for the tsunami victims. The highlight of our cultural sponsorship is our support of the festival opera house (Festspielhaus) in Baden-Baden, besides this we are above all concerned with the rising generation of young talent.
Moreover, we are particularly dedicated to giving young people the best possible start conditions for their future professional success. We instruct vocational college students and apprentices in a broad spectrum of commercial and technical industry professions and provide trainees or graduates with valuable practical experience.
Worldwide support for children and young people in the fields of education and health
 After the coasts of south-east Asia were struck by a the flood disaster at Christmas 2004 M+W Zander supported a village in Batticaloa on the west coast of Sri Lanka with food and other aid material bought on the spot. Additional to the fast aid a wish for a long-term commitment came up, hence care for kids was founded.

 For the construction of the biomass power plant for the “Motorenwerk Kölleda” (Thuringia), M+W Zander received the DaimlerChrysler Environmental Leadership Award 2003 for exceptional commitment to environmental protection.
