Absolute dependability and security
Energy supply centre II AMD Dresden, Germany, 2005
The new EVCII uses a thermal power station to supply the AMD Fab 36 (install link here to the reference Fab 36) with electricity, hot and cold water in conformity with the high standards for semiconductor manufacture. The capacity of the EVC2 would be sufficient to supply a town with a population of around 150,000 with all its energy. However, the requirements for precision and quality leave no room for maneuver and are not comparable.
