In the mid-1990s, the chip industry experienced its big boom phase. Singapore also invested in the future industry of microelectronics. The name M+W Zander was also a leading player at that time: in 1996 the biggest factory project carried out by the company to date was handed over to the client.

Special features:
- Boggy ground meant that a substructure of piles had to be driven into the ground to a depth of 40 m
